We want to help fight extreme poverty by improving education in rural and remote villages in Sri Lanka.
Overcrowded classrooms, poor qualified teachers, lack of teaching materials creates a poor learning environment, exacerbated by rampant absenteeism among both pupils and teachers.
Lionbridge International will be providing;
– Donating computers to increase teacher resources to include computer assisted learning.
– Donate age appropriate learning software
– Build libraries and donate books
– Conduct Free English speaking seminars
– Build more toilets and sanitary facilities
– Donating sports equipment for popular sports such as cricket and soccer
– Help develop sports grounds and recreational areas
