Kumara was born in Negombo, Sri Lanka. He studied at St Mary College Negombo.
After Completing his Primary and Secondary Education he moved to France and worked there for 9 years.
After nine years of been in France, he came back to Sri Lanka to Start his own business in fishing industry and now he is a successful businessman in Sri Lanka who owns 5-multiday boats.
Kumara is a family person and he is happily married with his wife of two lovely boys.
