REQUIREMENTS :
- Minimum of 5 years of professional development or applicable experience.
- Ability to work independently and make both strategic and tactical decisions in a complex and high-paced/high output environment.

- Ability to participate as a team member, working collaboratively across departments as needed.

- Demonstrated success in acquiring, developing and retaining donor or client relationships resulting in significant support for an organization.
- Demonstrated expertise in facilitating straightforward gift transactions of varying size.

JOB ROLE :
- Reporting to a senior staff member, the Development Officer is responsible for Lionsbridge International (LBI) programs and outreach efforts to build new philanthropic relationships between LBI and individuals, corporations, and nonprofits.
- Wages commensurate with experience.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage or participate as a team member on projects which strengthen LBI’s relationship with the local community from our headquarters in Melbourne Australia .
- Cultivate and manage a portfolio of individual, corporate and nonprofit prospects and actively steward those prospects who have come to LBI through our extensive referral network.
- Experience working with professional advisors, such as attorney, tax planners and wealth experts to facilitate their clients charitable goals.
- Initiate and complete both the opening of new funds and outright gifts to the community foundation’s strategic initiatives and endowment fund.
- Lead and coordinate selected reports and proposals for foundation gifts to LBI initiatives.
- Remain informed on legal, accounting, investment and technology issues as they affect charitable giving, in particular corporate giving and the donation of in-kind services and products.
- Attend and participate in industry conferences, events and networks as assigned to establish significant visibility for the community foundation.
- Serve as the department’s representative on various internal project teams and cross-departmental initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
